Hi MJD, noted your post on Derby and Saltley but I can't find them on the sim list. My sentiments are like yours, and I do follow up with donations for sims which I really enjoy. Sheffield and Cambridge are cases in point. Where could we find quality like Simsig for next to nothing?

Have a look at the July meet thread, and Geoff's post announcing the meet sims.

I can only help one person a day. Today's not your day. Tomorrow doesn't look too good either.

Excellent news indeed, Saltley will be my most local sim. Could I ask what year timetable they are going to be released with?

Thanks for that Mike. I should be able to have stab at a 2010 TT when the sim is released then.

Saltey & Dderby both have an timetable based on 15th Oct 2009, which, for anyone taking notice, is the same as those released with Worksop & South Humbs!

Didn't realise that Derby had a 'D' box..........lol.

Seriously though I just tried to go into the donations page (Got a 404 error) to try and make a donation as suggested in other mails, to what I am sure will be another excellent addition to the family. You can be rest assured that I will keep trying. On my rotational leave back to the UK at the end of July and looking forward to playing at 35,000 feet......the Derby sim that is.....

Geoff.

Saltley is a'coming? SALTLEY? Does this mean that at some point we all get a go on "Saltley South Top Panel" and can have an interesting chat with the driver of 2R43....

Being serious though, I'd like to say many thanks in advance [of the release of these simulations] to the developers, testers, and all involved in some way in these undoubtedly excellent simulations.

I certainly know of at least one person who will surely enjoy Derby - but need I say any more or drop any names/usernames (it should be blindingly obvious)?!!

Now we'd just need a Doncaster sim (and have Euston, and Birmingham New Street released) and you could do a really big chain along the lines of:
Euston - Wembley Suburban - NLL - King's Cross - Cambridge - Peterborough - Doncaster - South Humberside - Worksop - Sheffield - Trent - Derby - Saltley - BNS - Saltley - Gloucester - Bristol - Swindon A&B - Westbury - Bristol - Exeter, involving 19 simulations. Getting matching timetables for all those sims would already be a major act, though.

Two million people attempt to use Birmingham's magnificent rail network every year, with just over a million of them managing to get further than Smethwick.

The majority have the 2009 WTT and I'm sure the others could have 2009 TTs made for them.

At minimum, one for each sim....Any more than that would be a bonus.

However, you would probably want multiple hosters as I doubt one machine would cope well with all the traffic for all those sims.

What does that mean all current sims will end up with a 2009 TT?

Well done to Darren G & Howard P for getting these 2 excellent sims to the stage of being released. Since I last spoke to Darren G at the last Derby meet I've nearly completed a timetable for Saltley based on 1995-1996(Loadhaul, Transrail, Mainline Freight, RfD, Freightliner '95 & RES era). This timetable should be ready for the London meet for those interested in timetables earlier than the 2009 one.

LMR Brummie1990 and 1997 WTT's have been brought out of retirement, dusted down, ironed and ready for those that like loco changes
