It is just an indicator, does nothing.

Nice work on this sim. Just a couple of things though:

1. The 0545 Weymouth - Cardiff Central (train 2V10) shows as "Weymouth - Weymouth - Cardiff Central".
2. There are various "MP..." codes around (ie. MP111, MP120, etc). Out of interest, what are these for?

Cheers.

They were put in by the original developer (Mike or Geoff) probably for interest.

they do come in handy for gauging how long a train will take to pass through a section

I believe it is a Group standard/requirement in certain circumstances, so may reflect the real panel.

There are also some discontinuities in the route miles, particularly around Castle Cary.

I've added a photo of the barrow crossings to the Westbury manual.

Very good! Must put some donations in next month as a thank you! At least my timetable I am working on has trains exiting at Thingley Junction as I had a feeling this would be the new fall-off section, what a good guess!

Does this sim have gradients simulated too? I had a low setting freight train exiting the yard up Dilton Marsh bank and was taking a bit of time to reach 30mph but I don't know if thats the train setting or the bank simulated?

Thank you for the update!

James.

On the subject of Westbury Barrow Crossing, I just got a herd of cows waiting to cross it :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

BTW, it's 2:50 AM (the cows are probably waiting to hitch a ride on a later train )

Perhaps another occurrence similar to this (as original linked to on this thread)

Hi all, Just trying Westbury and no probs so far (well it is only 1.29 sim time). Forgot to phone for first train into Merehead but remembered for the seond one. Feels like another brilliant sim. As other posters have said, we've had a recent crop of new and re-done brill sims, an embarrasment of riches! Not had any cows at the crossing yet, lol!
Have noticed a few flashing yellows on set routes, am I correct this is merely to warn of divergence at junctions?
Donations will certainly be made as funds permit in respect of Westbury and other sims which I really get into.
Many thanks again to Geoff and the hard-working developers

Yes especially the high speed turnout at Fairwood is a flashing yellow for diverging to Westbury, saves HSTs and the like stopping for a signal check at a high speed turnout.

Simon reports that apparently Greenmill LC keeps flashing failed at every train that is heading towards Bathampton but not the other way, does anyone else get this?

Might happen if you have a really slow train that keeps that barriers down for a while, that's the only thing that will triggers a failure as far as I know.

yes ive had this as well but only noticed it when i had a train jam, so assume that it lowered for a train that couldnt pass it

The shunt R479 at Newbury doesn't clear to the Up London, only clears bang road to Reading (haven't check the platforms). I seem to remember it clearing to the up, am I being impatient?

had a similar problem with a class 50 RR. i cancelled the signal then reset it. iirc it then cleared. if not then it has to run bang road.
