I have just submitted v.1 of a diversions add-on for Noisy Noel's 2009 timetable, which (if I have submitted the file correctly) will appear in the download section in due course.

Originally I created this add-on for my own amusement, but I thought it might prove to be of amusement to others.

***

A structural defect has forced the closure of Chislehurst Fast line Tunnel.
The tunnel will remain closed for the whole day whilst emergency repair work is carried out.

As a result, mainline services from the Kent coast and East Sussex are being diverted via Bromley South, with some services (1Hxx) continuing to Charing Cross via the Mid Kent line, whilst the remainder (1Wxx / 2Wxx) are diverted to Victoria.

As these diversions are unplanned, trains have no schedules, and it will therefore be up to you to regulate them around the booked traffic accordingly.

Trains running to Victoria do not call at any intermediate stations enroute, so it is up to your judgement whether you route them via Beckenham Junction or via the Catford Loop. Drivers will accept either route without question.

Note that trains formed of more than 8 coaches can only be accomodated in platforms 1, 2, 5, 6 and 7 at Victoria, so careful planning and replatforming of booked traffic will be required.

Because trains have no schedules, ARS believes them to be late, and will attempt to give them priority over eveything around them - even if the trains are miles apart. If you are running the sim with ARS enabled, you would be wise to take the diverted trains out of ARS as soon as they enter the sim and route them manually.

The first train enters at 05.52 and there are 154 trains in total.

Disclaimer: This add-on is not prototypical. In real life, not all trains would be able to be diverted due to route knowledge and crew next-workings.
Also, as I had no access to the 2009 WTT or carriage workings, the trains in this add-on are taken from the 2013/14 timetable.

Finally, a huge thank you to Geoff Mayo for the 3 odd years he invested in the development of this terrific simulation, Noel Young for the original timetable, and to everyone else involved in its release.

John.

This hasn't appeared in the download section yet, it might just be that nobody has got round to approving it yet, or else I've cocked-up the upload. :doh

If it's the latter, could some kind sole tell me which bit I got wrong so I can submit it again.
