Hello all

On a couple of occasions I have routed an Up direction 2 Kilo via Cambria Junction straight onto the fast at Brixton instead of the Atlantics and via the lane.

2 consecutive services, 2K76 and 2K78, both stopped at Voltaire Road Junction and challenged the route, despite being booked fast from BMS to VIC.

You then have to tell the driver to bypass 3 different locations before they will continue, during which time they have lost the minute or so they would have recovered if they hadn't stopped to challenge.

I've looked through the forum and cant see any mention of this elsewhere, other than the local instruction that signallers can run any fast service between BMS and VIC via the Catford or Herne Hill as they see fit.

Why are these trains challenging the route if they are booked fast to Vic?

The timetable I'm running is Victoria East 15-10-2009

Thoughts / advice appreciated.

2Kxx trains Call at Denmark Hill, so they will need to be routed via the Catford Loop.

Only in recent timetables (after SouthEastern stopped sharing services with Thameslink - Southeastern wanted their cut of the fares via Denmark Hill!).

Not in the supplied-with-the-sim 2009 TT.

Oh. I stand corrected.

Have you got a saved game from before you had the issues please?

Paul

You have to get a red before you can get any other colour

Unfortunately no as I kept playing.

I'm going to run the same timetable again soon though so I will do regular saves when the 2 trains in question enter.

Thanks

There is an option in the F3 menu to enable snapshots to be saved every such-and-such minutes – saves you having to remember to do it yourself. I often forget to make regular saves, especially when I’m looking out for something (I’m usually to distracted looking out for the thing to remember to save!) Just a tip…

…good luck!
