Hi all,

A revision of Peter Bennet's original 1977 timetable has been uploaded and is currently waiting approval. It is meant to be used with Peterborough sim Version 4.1 Build 3 which has recently been released.

It has been modified for the scrolling sim and a lot of work has gone into eliminating a number of glitches and conflicts. My thanks are to Peter Bennet for his original work in the timetable and to Lyn Greenwood who has been tester-in-chief along with myself. Also thanks to the developers for sorting out the issues which became apparent with the Flyash trains routing on the previous version of the sim.

You will need to run it with the original layout.

Platforming at Peterborough is by best guess only - in older WTTs platforms were not specified and were done by local arrangement and put into a local publication called an A&D (arrivals and departures) booklet. Unless one of these exists for 1977 then we will not know definitively what the platforming arrangements were.

The Huntingdon turn-rounds are problematical in that, in many cases the unit crossing over conflicted with a train on the UFL or DFL. The EDMU times have been tweaked to make them fit but its still very tight on occasions.

Some freight and parcel trains take traincrew relief at Peterborough - ensure your forward crew is available before letting the trains concerned into a platform. You can tell which trains have traincrew relief by the letter "c" in the time e.g. 08c38.

Effort has been made to eliminate conflicts but some timings are very tight especially at the north end of Peterborough station, where many light engine movements take place between the depot and Crescent Sidings.

Shunt engines 0S00 and 0S01 are used to transfer stock for morning workings between Nene Sidings and Peterborough Yard. The key to right time starts fro these trains is to keep these two engines on time.

Can one of the admins approve the upload so that I can use it in a hosting session this evening?

I can only help one person a day. Today's not your day. Tomorrow doesn't look too good either.

Hi all,

A couple of small errors have been noted

1) The Flyash trains dwell times don't work correctly - should not have "set down only" ticked.

and

2 6D66 does not detach its loco - it has the wrong loco shown to detach, but this, surprisingly, does not generate an error in the analyser. 6D66 should detach 0D66-1 but is incorrectly shown to detach 0D66-2 which does not exist.

I'll release an update as soon as I've had a chance to test the new version.

Thought I'd give this TT a try. Couldn't find it at first.

Um the file is uploaded to the wrong place?

Is in
Home > Files > User-contributed > Timetables

Should be
Home > Files > User-contributed > Timetables > Peterborough

Just thought I'd let people know.

Tim.
