Allowable entry/exit location at Beckenham Jn are BAY or platform 4 (I assume they are the same place, I have no knowledge of the history on Beckenham Jn station. However if a train on the Down CM terminates in the BAY Sim Sig announces that “1H64 arrived at Beckenham Jn on time (wrong platform)”
If the timetable is amended so that the terminating point is 4, no problem occurs.

SimSig Loader version 4.15.1
Simulation Victoria South Eastern; data version 1.7

I believe that platform 'BAY'equates to platform 1 which is only accessible from the Crystal Palace single.

After spending a morning creating a test timetable and running trains back and forth between Kent house/Birkbeck and Beckenham Junction I think I have solved the anomaly and learnt a lot about timetabling and seeding.

There is a difference between what the ARS will do and what SimSig thinks is a wrong platform, at Beckenham junction. For example, trains from the mid Kent line and the Down CM, if BAY is specified it will set the route into Platform 4, However on arrival SimSig will announce that the train has arrived in the wrong platform and deduct points accordingly.

Trains from the Down Crystal palace for platform 1 need to have Beckenham Junction (Central) selected, if plat 1 Beckenham Jn is selected they will halt at 167 and wait for the correct route to be set. If Bay is selected ARS will set the route to Plat 4 but on arrival SimSim will announce Wrong platform.

Bottom line simSig thinks the Bay platform is plat 4, but if you only timetable using Beckenham Jn(Central) and Platforms 2 3 and 4. SimSig will correctly interpret the instructions and no points will be deducted. It appears that Bay and 1 are superfluous in the location dropdown list for Beckenham Jn.
