Train 4F22 timetable states that there is a crew change at Warrington Bank Quay. The train is in platform 4. Is this where the crew change should take place? I thought that it was.

If it is, why have a got a call saying that the driver is waiting at red signal 193? If it isn't, where should the train go for the crew change? The next signal?

Just for your information – the train has a near end stop in the timetable. I think that in this instance that means that in Simsig terms the train won't "arrive" until the rear of the train has reached the platform start/end (depending on which way around you look at it). Probably to make sure the rear of the train keeps clear of the main line.

To amplify what @Jan has written, the train is listed as 411m. long. P4 is shown as 205m. so if the train stops at S193 the rear of the train would be lying foul of the Down Fast. The train needs to run forward until the rear has cleared the track-circuits protecting the Down Fast (which for SimSig purposes is a near end stop at the platform) In SimSig the train does not register as arriving at Warrington BQ until the condition required by the near end stop is met. So in this case the train needs to run forward towards S181 on the Down Slow until the rear of the train arrives at the platform after which it will stop some distance short of the red aspect at S181.

This is what I ended up doing in the hope that the crew change would take place. More by luck than judgement though. I did actually state this as am edit to my original post.
