Hi All

Sorry that I won't be there this time round. Just about to depart to Newcastle for the weekend! Well I figure that if postal is in London, then Newcastle is the best place to be!!

As for travel, don't forget London Overground. Shoreditch High Street is only about 10 minute walk from Liverpool Street Station.

Have fun and see you next time!

Andy

Tricky one for me, which set of stairs to come up at Liverpool St before crossing the road

Bank to Liverpool St is a straightforward walk too, or all the way from Monument / London Bridge even.
I'd also suggest using the bus from Victoria while from Paddington walking to Lancaster Gate and getting the Central throughout is quickest (if you don't get lost !)

Looks like we will be getting the northern line from Kings cross to Moorgate then walking rest of the way which dosent look that far

Why don't you go to bank and change onto the Central ?

yeah it is a bit of a way to mank for monument isn't it Sacro XD

Well i've sorted out what i'm doing, going to walk from paddington to lancaster gate and then sit on the central. TFL does actually say it takes a few mins longer to do the walk than get the bakerloo but the route looks pretty simply. If i'm not there at 12 then i've got lost

Wonder if you're around at the same time as James and Officer Dibble, perhaps a 3 way race could be on!

Read above EDIT sorry read Page 13, itinerary is there

Have an epic roundabout trip just to get to Rosehill (St Helier station) to drob a bike off then over to sutton by bus to do a Southern service to Victoria, then 2 tubes to Liverpool Street, so that will take some time! Booked on the 20:06 from Paddington but I should make it by leaving at 18:00 from the meet, just no later than 18:15 from the station ideally.

So for this venue, we just walk into the pub and head straight for the stairs to the venue room and get ourselves signed in, have I read the meet details right?

Well with time at Padd and making 2 tube journeys. I remember Waterloo to Padd direct on the Bakerloo taking at lot longer than planned, plus I might want a burger king when I get there (which usually takes forever when pushing for time) and I want to be on the platform and past the barriers to avoid the rugby scrum on 'The Lawn' when the platform is listed (better look it up on Journey Planner beforehand actually)

You are the one from Worle I believe who helped with my Bristol testing?

Yes, that's right. If your bringing a laptop or 'general use' then 11:45, if not please hang around downstairs/outside until 12:00 to allow the organising team to get the network and stuff set up in peace! After all the quicker they do it, the soon the sims start running.

I'm into Kings Cross at 0823 (by the WTT) - having travelled via the Hertford Loop. My return to Newark is from Liverpool Street via Broxbourne, Cambridge, Hitchin & Peterborough - all for less than £20 at 3 weeks notice (no priv or railcard either)!

See you all tomorrow.

God bless, Daniel Wilson

Hope you all have a good day tomorrow. I'm unfortunately w*rking so I won't be able to make it. But, there are 3 dates in October that I will be able to make so hopefully it will be one of those and i'll see you in Derby but in any case. Have a good day, and for anyone who really wants to get the tube all the way there an alternative to using the Met/Hammersmith/Circle lines to get from the Kings X to Liv St is to get the Piccadily to Holborn or the Victoria to Oxford Circus and the Central over to Liv St.

Hope to see you in Derby.
